Transition to Surgelogic by Schneider Electric
- Why is EFI the company and associated brands migrating to Schneider Electric?
- Schneider Electric has made the strategic decision to align its brand portfolio to better meet the growing needs and demands of customers and to further its market leading position as the global specialist in energy management. Having multiple brands creates confusion in the marketplace and is counter to the overall strategy.
- Currently, Schneider Electric is a highly complex company with over 120 different brands, and our customers have very clearly told us that they want one simplified way to interact with the company and desire innovative solutions (not just products) from Schneider Electric to solve their most challenging energy management issues.
- When will the transition be complete?
- The transition is scheduled to be complete by January 1, 2010.
- When is the last time customers can buy EFI branded products?
- Customers will be able to order most EFI branded products until August 28, 2009 for shipping prior to September 28, 2009. Utility customers will be able to order through the end of the year.
- Will customers be able to order an equivalent product, and are some going to become obsolete?
- The EFI Titan brand will be transitioned to the Surgelogic by Schneider Electric brand. Not all existing EFI part numbers will have a Schneider Electric equivalent. Please call your sales representative for product details.
- How will customers interact with EFI moving forward?
- After August 28, 2009, our customers will be placing orders with Schneider Electric or they will be contacted by one of our trusted channel partners to handle future product needs. Orders placed after August 28, 2009 will be invoiced by Schneider Electric.
- Customers should contact the Schneider Electric CIC (Customer Information Center) and they will be assisted in obtaining equivalent Surgelogic products. The CIC can be accessed from www.schneider-electric.us or by calling 1-888-SQUARE-D.
- Customers can also find a local Schneider Electric distributor of Surgelogic branded products at www.schneider-electric.us.
- EFI can provide a Surgelogic part number for customers calling us, and will then be directed to the Schneider Electric Customer Information Center for ordering or to locate a Surgelogic dealer.
- EFI will continue to offer Technical Assistance in the same way we do today.
- Will my EFI products still be covered by a warranty?
- Schneider Electric will continue to honor any outstanding warranties on
EFI branded products for the duration of such warranty period. Therefore,
in accordance with the EFI warranty policy, in the event of a warranty
claim concerning a discontinued product, Schneider will repair, replace
with an acceptable substitute, or refund the cost of the product in order
to satisfy its warranty obligations to its customers.
