The exclusive Square D® Surgebreaker® Type 2 Surge Protective Device (SPD) is a plug-in unit that installs as easily as a standard circuit breaker. The Surgebreaker uses two pole spaces and comes in either a QO® or Homeline® style format for use in load centers and panelboards.
- Meets requirements of NEC Article 285.
- UL and cUL Listed for both QO and Homeline formats.
- UL 1449 3rd Edition Listed Type 2 Surge Protective Device.
- Meets ANSI/IEEE C62.11-1987 and CAN/CSA C233.1-87.
- QO format used for QO load centers, combination service entrance devices and NQ® panelboards.
- Homeline format used for Homeline load centers, combination service entrance devices.
- LED indicator shows operational status of the unit.
